A Word From Your 2008-2009 Co-Presidents ________________________________________________________________________________________

Dear Parents, Students, Faculty, and Staff,

Your Harrison High School PTSA is excited to start a new year as we support learning, enhance programs, and work together to help students, teacher, faculty and staff.

Some of Harrison H.S. PTSA accomplishments in the past include:

  • $10,000 in student scholarships for 2008 graduating seniors
  • GPA banners on "Main Street" for student recognition of academic excellence
  • SAT Prep Courses
  • Teacher of the Year Recognition
  • New digital entrance sign
  • Memorial Garden by Admin II
  • Additional outdoor benches
  • Many other student and faculty events

These programs would not have been possible without the gifts of time and money from the Harrison H.S. family of parents, students, faculty and staff.  Please be sure to join PTSA ($5 membership fee/person) and sign up other relatives and grandparents too.  We encourage you to donate to PTSA through the Class Dues ($15 of Class Dues goes to the PTSA Hoya Fund).  Your additional donations are also important to allow us to fund many programs this year.  The PTSA $5 membership fee and your donations toward the PTSA Hoya Fund are the only means we have to raise funds (we do not do a fundraiser).

We have a vibrant volunteer staff and need additional volunteers for 2008/2009.  Please be sure to sign up to assist with one or more committees and we are also looking for several committee chair positions to be filled.

Thanks in advance for your membership and support of your Harrison H.S. PTSA.
